I began working in a pharmacy at the age of 18, and immediately fell in love with the profession. The relationships you build in the community and knowing that you are making a positive impact on the health and quality of life of its members, make pharmacy a very rewarding profession. I attended the University of Tennessee Knoxville, and graduated from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center Pharmacy School.
I grew up and have lived in East Tennessee my whole life. I am a father to three wonderful children and husband to a beautiful loving wife. I enjoy playing golf, woodworking, and cheering on the Volunteers every chance I get.

Valerie Dunn, Pharm.D. has over 15 years experience in a variety of pharmacy settings, including hospital, infusion therapy and retail. A graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy, Valerie completed her pharmacy residency at UT Medical Center in Knoxville. She specializes in infectious disease, diabetes and internal medicine. She enjoys time with her family on the lake and cheering on the Volunteers in her spare time.

Jim was born and raised in Kingston, Tennessee and moved to Houston, Texas and graduated from the University Of Houston College Of Pharmacy in 1987. Jim worked in retail pharmacy for eleven years, and then later worked at a hospital in east Texas for three years. Jim made his way back to his hometown and has owned an Independent Pharmacy since 2001. Jim is the Compounding Specialist here at Rocky Top Pharmacy. One of his favorite hobbies is to play golf. Jim has been married to his beautiful wife for 29 years, and has three wonderful children one daughter and two sons.
